The holiday season may feel slightly different this year with COVID-19 health and group gathering restrictions and guidelines, however, there is a wonderful opportunity for families to get into the 2020 festive spirit! The Norwood Recreation Department is again offering its Annual Home Christmas Decorating Contest!

 

With families spending more time at home, why not use those extra hours decking the home! This is the year to pull out every decoration in the basement, garage, and attic and enter into this fun, community event. Norwood residents can make this the biggest year yet for outdoor home decorations! All registered houses will be listed on the Norwood Recreation social media pages with themes and an interactive map. And that makes for a second new family tradition! Put the family into the car and drive throughout Norwood to take in approximately 30 decorated homes and vote online for the winner! There will be two winners a week before Christmas. One from the judges and one for most internet likes. Gift cards to local businesses will be provided to each winner.  Residents can nominate their home or their neighbor’s home. Town employees will contact nominations before placing them on the map. Those who cannot visit the homes in person can also view on the map. Thanks to the Kidd family for assisting with the implementation of the interactive map two years ago. So, who in Norwood is up for the challenge for the most festive home in Norwood!!??
