Norwood Actor Stars in “Sylvia”

Empty nesters Greg and Kate move into New York City where Greg brings home a stray dog he meets in the park. The only thing they know about the dog is her name, Sylvia, which is on her name tag. Greg is captivated by Sylvia, his interest bordering on obsession. A rivalry for Greg’s affection quickly develops between Kate and Sylvia, providing the tension in what is otherwise a delightful comedy.
The Walpole Footlighters are thrilled to be able to re-open their theater with their production of Sylvia by A. R. Gurney.
Norwood actor Mark Adams stars as Greg, the husband who finds Sylvia in the park. This is Mark’s third production with the Footlighters, having previously appeared in Radium Girls and The Mystery of Miz Arnette, but Greg is his largest role with the group so far. He expects audiences will enjoy this off-beat comedy.
Performances of Sylvia are at the Walpole Footlighters Playhouse at 2 Scout Road in East Walpole. Evening performances will be on November 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20 at 8:00 PM.
