Happy 150th Norwood!

Throughout the year Norwood residents will be celebrating the Town’s 150th Anniversary. The anticipation of this 12-month celebration has been building has for well over a year and 2022 is the time for all to embrace and commemorate thanks to the many volunteers who have devoted so much of their time for all to enjoy.
Norwood Local Town Pages will publish a monthly series throughout the year to inform residents of the various events taking place throughout town. There is a wide variety of experiences for every age group and interests for all to enjoy!

Norwood Council on Aging 50th Anniversary Banquet
Four Points by Sheraton
4-8 p.m.
The Norwood Council on Aging is celebrating 50 years!
Entertainment by Dave Valerio, full course sit down meal. Tickets on sale May 9th at the Norwood Senior Center for $20.00. Open to folks 60 and older!

June 22
Library Lecture: Registry of Deeds
Norwood Town Hall
6:30-9 p.m.
Norwood Notable Land Records: People, Places and Properties is part of the 150th Anniversary Celebration of Norwood that looks at the stories of the people and places of Norwood behind the land records recorded at the Norfolk Registry of Deeds. The history of Norwood from its early years to present day will be highlighted. The places chosen in the booklet and storyboards tell a piece of the story of the Town of Norwood. The individuals chosen in the booklet and the storyboards really represent all who lived in Norwood and make it a special place to live. The singing program headlined by The Singing Trooper -retired Massachusetts State Trooper Dan Clark - will entertain and help celebrate Norwood’s 150th Anniversary. Doors to the Town Hall will be opened at 6:30 PM to view the storyboards of Norwood’s people, places and properties with an event program that is highlighted by a singing performance by The Singing Trooper.
