Happy 150th Norwood!

Throughout the year Norwood residents will be celebrating the Town’s 150th Anniversary. The anticipation of this 12-month celebration has been building has for well over a year and 2022 is the time for all to embrace and commemorate thanks to the many volunteers who have devoted so much of their time for all to enjoy.
Norwood Local Town Pages will publish a monthly series throughout the year to inform residents of the various events taking place throughout town. There is a wide variety of experiences for every age group and interests for all to enjoy!

July 12
Neighborhood History Walking Tour: Swedeville
6-7:30 p.m.
In celebration of the town’s 150th anniversary the Norwood Historical Society has organized a series of Neighborhood History Walking Tours this summer. Join the society for a walk as they share the history of different areas and communities that make up

July 13
Norwood Summerfest Presents Roundhouse
7 p.m.
At the July 13 Summerfest show, the Norwood-based Roundhouse Band plays on the Town Gazebo. Roundhouse is Norwood’s best blues and rock band and features three Norwood High School graduates. This show is sponsored by the Norwood 150th Committee and is dedicated to the celebration of Norwood’s 150th anniversary.

July 19
Neighborhood History Walking Tour: Germantown
6-7:30 p.m.
In celebration of the town’s 150th anniversary the Norwood Historical Society has organized a series of Neighborhood History Walking Tours this summer. Join the society for a walk as they share the history of different areas and communities that make up Norwood. All walking tours are held on Tuesday evenings, 6:00 – 7:30.
