Reserve your Booth for Norwood Day!

By Michele Taranto
Yes, summer has officially started but the Norwood Recreation Department is already working hard in preparation of the 19th Annual Norwood Day on Saturday, September 10, 2022, 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.! This annual celebration brings businesses, organizations, and residents together to share information, goods, and services, but just as importantly, celebrate the wonderful town of Norwood!
For those unfamiliar with this spectacular Town-wide event, on this day downtown Norwood and the Town Common are transformed into an exciting community festival. The streets are filled with thousands of people enjoying live entertainment, games, sporting events, kiddie rides, crafters, food bites from local restaurants, sidewalk sales, and visiting tables of businesses and non-profit groups, and town department displays.
For companies and organizations that are returning to this explosive neighborhood  festival, guaranteed spaces and applications were due on June 27. For those looking to host a table, applications are now being accepted.
The cost for a spot is $45 for non-profit organizations and student groups with payment postmarked before July 29, and $55 after July 29. Norwood businesses and individuals, it is $70 before July 29, and $80 after July 29. For non-Norwood businesses and individuals, the cost is $135 before July, and $160 after July 29. There is also a $10 optional electricity fee. Checks should be payable to NORWOOD DAY COMMITTEE. Checks and applications can be dropped off at the Norwood Recreation Department during normal business hours, or mailed to: Norwood Day, c/o Norwood Recreation Department, 165 Nahatan St., Norwood, MA 02062. Any food, beverage or item consumed by mouth must attain a Board of Health permit. A copy of the permit must be submitted to the Norwood Recreation Department by September 1 or vendors could lose their booth reservation. Contact the Norwood Board of Health at 781-762-1240.
Money raised from table rentals are used to help defray costs of the event.
