BSAC Pet Corner
The Who, What, and Where of the Bay State Animal Cooperative
Where are your volunteers located? What kind of volunteer opportunities do you have if people want to get involved?
We need volunteers where we operate, Norfolk and Plymouth Counties. We need patient, loving, flexible volunteers for foster care.
Currently we need able bodies for our annual dog wash/car wash and rabies/microchipping event June 22. Reach out at [email protected].
How do you house cats waiting for a new home without a shelter?
We are 100% foster based. Without fosters we cannot accept cats into our organization. We NEED you. to do us!!!

Because Every Paw Matters
We’ve been promoting a lot of upcoming events lately, but today we want to pause and remind you why we do this work. Charley’s Angels exists to support pets and their people through some of life’s hardest moments.
Behind every fundraiser is a story like Odie and Scooter’s. When their mom entered a nursing home and could no longer care for them, a family member took them in and we were honored to help keep them comfortable with the meds they needed. We worked closely with the vet (shoutout to CAPI President Kandi Finch for her persistence!) to get everything sorted so all their family had to do was pick up the prescriptions. It wasn’t always easy, but helping families like theirs is at the heart of our mission.
Sadly, Scooter passed first, and Odie crossed the rainbow bridge the day after Christmas. Their mom followed just a couple months later. A family member wrote us to say, “It makes me smile to think of the family rejoined and them being healthy again.”
We were also asked to help with cremation costs—a hard but important request.
These aren’t the stories that make it into headlines, but they’re the ones that matter most. Because when you’re struggling to keep your pets fed, healthy, and loved—that is when Charley’s Angels shows up. Thank you for making that possible.
Thank you for your continued donations to support families like Odie and Scooter’s! To donate or learn more about the organization, visit charleysangelspetinitiative.org or their Facebook page at Charleysangelspet
Heartfelt thanks,
