BSAC July News
Jun 26, 2025 12:46PM ● By Staff MemberMeet Binky
Binky is a senior cat, we guess 14-ish, seeking her own human who “gets” cats. She was surrendered when her human passed away. She was great with “her” human but needs a place where she can settle in and adjust to a new human. Binky’s owner’s family was going to have her cross the rainbow bridge as no one could take her. BSAC stepped in, along with her current foster mom, to say NO. She is in foster with other cats in the home and is not doing well there as she prefers her own home. No cats welcome in her senior years she says! Binky needs to be with a very experienced cat owner who can give her her space. A little pharmaceutical assistance might be needed to help Binky settle in as she cannot control herself and acts out when over stimulated. Binky is very playful with her toys and enjoys being present with humans. She shows affection and enjoys being in the presence of humans. Are you up for this challenge? She really needs to have the chance to spend her senior years safe, without stresses, and entertaining her owner. Please consider her as a foster, or better yet, a forever compansion
We Keep Them Forever

Mason is a beloved member of the BSAC family and will always have a forever home with us. As a long-term diabetic, he lives under the loving care of our organization’s president. Mason requires daily insulin injections and a special prescription diet—both of which come with ongoing costs.
Thanks to your generous support, Mason continues to live a safe, happy, and healthy life. Your donations truly make a difference! Mason shouts out a big thank you!
What is the Bay State Animal Cooperative?
The Bay State Animal Cooperative (BSAC) is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of homeless and abandoned cats. With compassion at its core, BSAC works tirelessly to provide medical care, shelter, and love to every cat that crosses its path—whether they’re with us temporarily or for life.
Each month on the Pet Page, we feature adoptable cats, heartwarming success stories, behind-the-scenes rescue efforts, and a closer look at the lives of our long-term residents. We also shine a spotlight on the devoted volunteers who make all of this possible.
In the coming issues, we’ll be diving deeper with a series of questions and answers to help readers understand the vital role BSAC and similar nonprofit rescues play in our communities. From how adoptions work to what it takes to care for cats with special medical needs, we hope to give you a fuller picture of the work we do—and why it matters.
Stay tuned, and thank you for supporting the Bay State Animal Cooperative!
