Building Our Future Together: Prioritizing Goals and Strategies for Norwood’s Comprehensive Plan
The Town of Norwood invites all residents and stakeholders to participate in the next step (Phase III) of shaping our future through the Comprehensive Plan. Phase III of the planning process focuses on setting priorities and testing strategies, ensuring that the plan is both community-driven and practical.
Why It Matters
Over the past year, residents have shared ideas and visions for Norwood’s future. Now, Phase III asks the community to help prioritize those goals and weigh in on the strategies that will guide growth, preservation, and change. By identifying top priorities and testing feasibility, we will ensure that the final Comprehensive Plan reflects community values while offering actionable solutions.
Ways to Get Involved
Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the following opportunities this fall/winter:
• Goal Prioritization Survey (Open through January 15, 2026): Rank the proposed goals and strategies to help identify what matters most. Available online at tinyurl.com/NorwoodGoals.
• Strategy Roadshows (early December 2025): Town boards and committees will host discussions to review draft strategies and provide feedback. These sessions are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend.
• Open House (December 8, 2025, 7 pm, Norwood Senior Center): Members of the public are invited to meet members of the Steering Committee, learn about the Plan’s progress, and help prioritize goals and strategies
• December Steering Committee Meeting (December 22, 2025, 7 pm, Norwood Senior Center) Public welcome to attend a regular meeting to comment on goals and strategies
• Open House (January 12, 2026, 7 pm, Morrill Memorial Library): Members of the public are invited to meet members of the Steering Committee, learn about the Plan’s progress, and help prioritize goals and strategies
Everyone’s Involved
All residents—regardless of background—are encouraged to participate. Your input will ensure that Norwood’s Comprehensive Plan reflects the priorities of the entire community and paves the way for a stronger, more inclusive future.
