Dancing with the Norwood Stars returns April 3

One of Norwood’s most anticipated spring traditions is back — and the competition promises to be as lively as ever. Dancing with the Norwood Stars, presented by the Norwood Circle of Hope Foundation and OneLocal Bank, returns on Friday, April 3, 8 p.m., at the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood, bringing together community spirit, friendly rivalry, and plenty of dazzling footwork.

Each year, six local residents step out of their comfort zones and onto the dance floor, all vying for the coveted Disco Ball Trophy. The 2026 contestants are Tim Rose, Karen Broderick, Maria Rondinelli-Lopez, Christopher Lipscomb, Tenia Kniolek, and Michael O’Connor. Over the past several months, these community members have balanced busy schedules while dedicating hours to rehearsals and fundraising efforts throughout town.

Two titles will be awarded on the big night. The Overall Winner will be crowned based on total funds raised, while the Judges’ Choice Award will recognize the best single dance performance of the evening. Contestants have been hard at work hosting creative fundraisers across Norwood in hopes of securing the fundraising crown. At the same time, they’ve been polishing their routines alongside professional instructors from Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Norwood, preparing for their moment in the spotlight.
